Arsenal have confirmed the £16m signing of Calum Chambers from Southampton.

The 19-year-old Saints defender has signed a long-term deal with the Gunners and becomes the north London side’s fourth summer signing.

Chambers said: “Amazing! I just can’t wait to get started to be honest.”

The Arsenal teenager added: “It was an opportunity that I couldn’t turn down. He is a fantastic manager and everyone can see that. To get the opportunity to work with him will be amazing.”

Chambers joins David Ospina, who moved to The Emirates from Nice at the weekend, and he is Arsenal’s second defensive signing of the summer after the arrival of Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle United, whilst Alexis Sanchez moved from Barcelona earlier this month.

Here are a selection of photos of Arsenal’s new signing.
