Tony Fernandes has insisted that Queens Park Rangers have not made any bids for potential signings since snapping up Steven Caulker.

Former Tottenham defender Caulker and Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand have joined the Hoops to bolster Harry Redknapp’s defence ahead of the new Premier League season.

QPR continue to be linked with a host of players as the manager bids to strengthen his small squad, including the likes of Rafael van der Vaart, Peter Crouch and Samuel Eto’o.

However, QPR owner Fernandes took to his Twitter page to emphatically rubbish the ongoing transfer speculation.

Fernandes also moved to reassure QPR supporters that the west London side are making progress off the pitch, too.
