The Gunners have been heavily linked with a number of players over the last few days following the news that Olivier Giroud is set to be sidelined until the new year with a broken leg.
I will actively be involved on deadline day
Wenger is reported to be keen on luring Monaco forward Radamel Falcao to Emirates Stadium on a season-long loan deal, with the likes of Danny Welbeck and Adrien Rabiot also touted as possible targets.
And with Monday’s deadline fast approaching, Wenger refused to rule out the possibility of further additions at Emirates Stadium.
“I will actively be involved on deadline day,” Wenger said on Friday. “I will be on alert until the last minute.
“We have shown in the last two seasons that if there are [players to buy], we will do it. The last few days [of the transfer window] are like poker games.”
Wenger, however, also insisted that the Gunners, who travel to Leicester City on Sunday, have plenty of cover for the injured Giroud up front.
He added: “We have Yaya Sanogo, we have Alexis Sanchez, we have Theo Walcott, we have Lukas Podolski [who can all play up front].”
