The 23-year-old attacking midfielder, who missed out on a place with France at the World Cup due to injury, has been touted as a target for both Arsenal and Newcastle United in recent weeks.
The Lyon midfielder has previously hinted that he could leave the seven-time Ligue 1 champions ahead of the new season amid interest from the Premier League.
But Grenier has moved to commit his future to Lyon after controversially missing a training session, fuelling talk of a potential summer transfer.
“I have read a lot of things about myself recently,” Grenier posted on his own website.
“Just to be clear, Lyon’s medical and technical staff have set me a specific programme so I can be back at 100 per cent.
“That includes a period spent training indoors. That is why I have not been present at some of the training sessions.
“I have no problem with the club and have never missed a training session intentionally.
“There is no controversy and my intention is to be back on the pitch and competing as soon as possible.”
