Torino are yet to receive an adequate offer for Arsenal target Alessio Cerci, the club’s president has revealed.

The Italy international has been heavily linked with Premier League trio Arsenal, Everton and Manchester United, as well as AC Milan and Bundesliga runners-up Borussia Dortmund in recent weeks.

I have received some offers for Cerci. But they were not adequate

Urbano Cairo

Cerci enjoyed a prolific season for Torino as he helped the northern Italian club book their spot in the Europa League, scoring 13 goals and making 10 assists in 37 appearances.

And Torino president Urbano Cairo confirmed that the Turin side have received offers for the 28-year-old striker but the Serie A outfit are refusing to sell.

“I have received some offers for Cerci. But they were not adequate,” Cairo told La Stampa.

Cairo is holding out hope that Cerci could renew his current Torino deal and ignore interest from the Premier League.

“If he wants to, we’d love him to renew his contract,” Cairo added.
