Frank Sinclair believes that Chelsea should move quickly to replace Fernando Torres by signing Loic Remy this summer.

Striker Torres is set to join AC Milan on a two-year loan deal, subject to the Spaniard agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.

That would be a great signing, he’s a top drawer player

And former Chelsea defender feels that QPR striker Remy would be a good replacement for Torres, with Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba both also leaving the west London club this summer.

“With Eto’o and Ba both going out of the football club at the beginning of the summer, you would have thought Costa is not enough to be honest,” Sinclair told talkSPORT.

“But there’s talk behind the scenes and little whispers about a certain Loic Remy from QPR coming to the football club. That would be a great signing, he’s a top drawer player.

“He’s always stood out during his time at QPR and Newcastle. So that could be the one, but I certainly feel we need another forward and with only a couple of days to go [until the transfer window shuts] it’s going to be rushed, so let’s hope it’s the right player as well.”
