Robbie Fowler has blasted Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal for showing a lack of respect to his Burnley counterpart Sean Dyche.

The Clarets boss had to seek out the Red Devils manager at full-time to shake the Dutchman’s hand as the 63-year-old remained glued to his seat following another poor result.

Van Gaal is still waiting for his first competitive win as United manager after an unimpressive performance from the Red Devils at Turf Moor.

The Dutch coach was slow to congratulate Karl Robinson in midweek following MK Dons’s shock 4-0 victory over the 20-time English champions in the League Cup.

And Liverpool legend Fowler criticised Van Gaal for failing to seek out Burnley manager Dyche after the newly-promoted side held their own against United.
