The 24-year-old striker is yet to make an appearance for the Merseyside outfit following his £16m move to Anfield from AC Milan on Monday.

Balotelli, who was part of Manchester City’s Premier League title-winning side in 2012, has signed a long-term deal with the 18-time English champions.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers revealed that the Italy international had been impressive in first-team training at his pre-match media conference on Friday.

And Balotelli is relishing the prospect of his first Liverpool appearance after the controversial forward took to his Instagram account on Sunday morning.

“LFC YNWA. Come on guys today,” Balotelli posted on Instagram.
