Thibaut Courtois took part in his first Chelsea training session since returning from a season-long loan at Atletico Madrid.

The Belgium international has spent the past three seasons at los Rojiblancos, gaining experience as Petr Cech remained the Blues’s undisputed number one goalkeeper.

However, the 22-year-old was impressive as Atletico won the Europa League, Copa del Rey and last season’s La Liga title, as well as reaching the Champions League final.

Courtois is expected to push Czech Republic international Petr Cech for a starting spot this season, and the Belgian looked impressive in Blues training.

Here are a couple of shots from Chelsea’s training on Thursday.
