Jack Wilshere and Joe Hart were all smiles as they posed for a selfie before returning to England training ahead of Wednesday’s game against Norway.

Roy Hodgson’s Three Lions are gearing up for their first game since their dismal World Cup exit in Brazil earlier this summer.

Midfielder Wilshere posted the picture above on Instagram and wrote: “Back to AFC training ground today to continue preparations for tomorrow night! #Harty #Wilsh”

Wilshere will be in the company of Arsenal new-boy Danny Welbeck on international duty this week after the striker’s £16m transfer from Manchester United on deadline day.

England host Norway at Wembley in what will be Wayne Rooney’s first official match as captain of the national side, after the Manchester United striker took the armband from Steven Gerrard.

Manager Roy Hodgson has picked a youthful squad for Wednesday’s game, with the uncapped Calum Chambers, Danny Rose, Fabian Delph and Jack Colback all included.

England take on Norway in this week’s friendly before kicking off their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign against Switzerland on 8 September.
