Mesut Ozil has been enjoying the international break by spending some quality time with his family.

The Arsenal star, who withdrew from the Germany squad for their forthcoming games due to injury, posted a picture of himself with his newly-born niece, Mira, on Instagram.

The 25-year-old playmaker wrote: “Family! #mira”

Back in May, Ozil took to Facebook to post a picture with the new addition to his family.

He wrote: “Before the World Cup I’m still visiting my niece Mira who was born last thursday. it was a really special moment for me – Mira, I will always be there for you!”

Ozil pulled out of the Germany squad after suffering an injury late on in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw at Leicester City last Sunday.

Arsene Wenger revealed after the game that the former Real Madrid star had suffered a minor ankle injury.
