The Red Devils wrapped up a £6m loan deal for the Monaco striker on Monday and have an option to buy the forward at the end of his temporary spell.
I’m very proud to be at Man United
Falcao, who missed this summer’s World Cup due to a long-term knee injury, joined Monaco last year after making 91 appearances and scoring 70 goals for Atletico Madrid.
Remarkably, the 28-year-old hasn’t tasted Champions League football since Porto played in the group stage of Europe’s premier club competition in 2010.
And the deadline day signing declared that he is “proud” to be a United player.
“I’m very proud to be at Man United,” Falcao said.
“We’ve been in talks with the club for some months and in the end we were able to meet an agreement with Monaco on the last day of the transfer deadline.”
Falcao has scored 20 goals in 50 appearances for Colombia.
