Suso has kept Liverpool fans updated on his injury status after the Spaniard underwent an operation on his groin injury.

The 20-year-old playmaker picked up the problem earlier this month, joining Daniel Sturridge, Glen Johnson, Joe Allen, Emre Can and Jon Flanagan on the treatment table at Anfield.

And Suso, who helped Liverpool beat Middlesbrough in the League Cup last month, took to Instagram following his procedure on Monday, promising to make a swift return to first-team action.

Suso posted: “Justo finished my surgery and everything was complety fine. Thanks for all the messages as I’ll be back very soon…YNWA”

The Liverpool forward’s future has been a source of speculation in recent weeks amid reported interest from Serie A giants AC Milan.

Suso scored his first Liverpool goal last month after netting in extra-time against Middlesbrough before converting two penalties in the shootout.

The Spain Under-21 international joined Liverpool from Cadiz in 2010, making his first-team debut under current manager Brendan Rodgers against Young Boyes in 2012.
