Ray Parlour believes Arsenal may have to look for a new manager if they want fresh ideas, but remained adamant that current boss Arsene Wenger will never face the sack.

The Gunners qualified for the Champions League knockout stages for the 15th consecutive season after strikes from Yaya Sanogo and Alexis Sanchez against Borussia Dortmund.

If the plan is for fresh ideas and the right person becomes available, then it is something to look at

Rumours have circulated that Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp is open to a move to the Premier League, but Parlour believes Wenger will only leave the Gunners on his own terms.

Parlour wrote on “As long as the club have a plan [for a new manager], I am okay with it.

“If it is better for the club, you do what is right for the club. Nobody is bigger than Arsenal.

“I am biased towards Wenger because I played under him, but his methods now are exactly what we did.

“If the plan is for fresh ideas and the right person becomes available, then it is something to look at.

“But it is Arsene’s decision. He’d never be sacked.”
