The Brazil international scooped the Reds’s player of the month award for October after being voted by Liverpool fans as the club’s standout performer.
Coutinho scored one goal and made one assist last month as the 22-year-old playmaker muscled his way into the Liverpool first-team.
And the Liverpool midfielder insists Brendan Rodgers’s side are ready to face Premier League leaders Chelsea at Anfield on Saturday.
“Our focus is on improving in the competition to achieve our goals,” Coutinho told Liverpool’s website.
“It’s a massive game and we’re ready to face it and hopefully win three points, which would be very important for us.
“We’ve been improving over the last few games but we’re conscious we must do more. We expect to be fighting for a top-four spot. Liverpool is a great club and must always be challenging for the top positions.”
Coutinho has scored nine goals in 54 Premier League appearances following his £8.5m move to Liverpool from Inter Milan in 2013.
