The Netherlands international has endured a difficult start to the Premier League season following an exhausting World Cup campaign in Brazil.
The 31-year-old has scored three goals in nine Premier League games, prompting reports teenager James Wilson could start ahead of the Dutchman for the clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
But Van Persie has been working on his close control after filming for a freestyle show with his son Shaqueel, showing he still has that sprinkling of gold dust.
Van Persie wrote on Instagram: “Had a great shoot for #btsport starring a special guest, my best friend! SvP”
Earlier on this week, United legend Gary Neville claimed that Van Persie was coming under increasing pressure to perform.
“There’s pressure on Van Persie, people want more from him,” Neville said.
“He’s got to do better in long situations and needs to make better runs. But his team-mates aren’t finding him as much as [Paul] Scholes and [Michael] Carrick were two years ago.
“I called him a burglar before – he lives off back of centre-backs. The type of pass he wants is into space.
“In defence of Van Persie I don’t think his team-mates are in synch as they were two years ago. Maybe Carrick coming back will help him.”
