Mesut Ozil has plenty of time on his hands as the Arsenal midfielder recovers from a knee injury.

And the 26-year-old is set to feature in Esquire UK, hoping to prove a hit on and off the pitch.

Ozil, who moved to Arsenal in a £42.5m deal last summer, uploaded a couple of classy shots from his shoot to Instagram on Sunday afternoon.

The Arsenal star posted the following caption on Instagram: “#esquireUK#shooting#enjoy”

Ozil hasn’t featured for Arsenal since injury his knee during their 2-0 loss to Chelsea last month.

The former Real Madrid forward has scored one goal and made on assist in six Premier League games this season.

Could Mesut Ozil have a career in modelling?
