Paul Merson was clearly dreading having to say Cesar Azpilicueta’s name on Sky Sports News HQ this morning.

The former Arsenal striker was a guest on the popular sports news challenge as he reflected on the week of Champions League football.

And the 46-year-old had a tough time pronouncing the Chelsea defender’s name, although he did improve at the second attempt.

Earlier this week, Merson criticised Arsenal for being “absolutely clueless” after the Gunners squandered a three-goal lead against Anderlecht on Tuesday.

“I think they are tactically clueless, that’s an honest opinion,” Merson said on Sky Sports.

“This is not the first time it’s happened, it’s happened a lot. It’s absolutely clueless. For me the manager has to get a message on, but these are international footballers, they are not little kids.”

How much love do you have for Paul Merson?
