Thibaut Courtois says that he knows how to stop Harry Kane ahead of Chelsea’s League Cup final clash with Tottenham on Sunday.

The Spurs forward has been in sensational form for the north London club this season, netting 24 goals in all competitions and being voted the Premier League player of the month for January.

Spurs and Chelsea go head-to-head at Wembley this weekend to contest the first piece of domestic silverware of 2015.

But Courtois has revealed that he has been analysing Kane’s technique ahead of the crunch clash.

Asked if he knew Kane’s technique, Courtois told the Telegraph: “Yeah, I know it, but I don’t have to say it now.

“You try and analyse what teams and strikers are like more and more by watching videos.

“But football is football and every game is different. Every time they come in front of you it can be different.”

Courtois has made 28 appearances for Chelsea this season since his transfer back to Stamford Bridge following his series of loan spells at Atletico Madrid.

Kane, meanwhile, has netted 14 Premier League goals and notched up three assists.

Chelsea head into Sunday’s game five points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
