The Netherlands international has been a regular fixture in Louis van Gaal’s first team so far this season, scoring two goals and notching up one assist in 14 Premier League games for the Red Devils.
Blind played the full 90 minutes as United slumped to a disappointing 2-1 defeat by Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
And the midfielder believes that his good form on the pitch is in part down to his swift adaptation to life away from football in England.
Asked about how he is settling in England following his transfer, Blind told Inside United: “I live in the city and I love to live in cities. It was the same when I lived in Amsterdam too. I love the crowd and buzz around me.
“My girlfriend really likes it here, too. The city is nice and we are enjoying it. When I first signed I went away with the national team so I sent my mum and my girlfriend to look at some houses and told them to send me some photos if they found one they liked!
“We wanted to make a decision on one as soon as possible so we weren’t in a hotel for so long. I didn’t look at many houses, I left it to my girlfriend!”
Saturday’s loss to Swansea left United fourth in the Premier League table and a point behind third-placed Arsenal. Van Gaal’s side host Sunderland at Old Trafford in the Premier League next weekend.
