The Spanish playmaker has been one of the north London side’s top performers this season, scoring seven goals and making eight assists in 29 Premier League games to help Arsene Wenger’s men up to third place in the table.
As long as the club value me as they have done until now, then I’ll continue
Cazorla has been linked with a move back to his native Spain in recent months, with Atletico Madrid reported to be keen on luring the 30-year-old back to La Liga.
However, the midfielder has poured cold water on that speculation by insisting that he is happy at Arsenal and feels comfortable with his family life in London.
Speaking in an interview with El Mundo, Cazorla said: “Right now I haven’t heard from anybody, it’s just rumours. And, to tell the truth, it doesn’t concern me too much. What I’m concerned about is Arsenal, where I’m doing well.
“In the future, we’ll see. I’m saying that I like it very much and, as long as the club value me as they have done until now, then I’ll continue.
“In London I live in Hampstead, 15 minutes from the centre and 15 from the training ground, and I’m very comfortable. It’s calm, an ideal place to send your children to school. They’re speaking the language so quickly it’s hard to keep up. It is important for them, for my girlfriend and me, of course.”
Cazorla will be expecting to feature when Arsenal host Liverpool in the Premier League at Emirates Stadium on Saturday lunchtime. The Gunners are currently six points ahead of the Merseyside outfit.
