The Blues were unable to find a winner against Ronald Koeman’s side on Sunday afternoon after Southampton winger Dusan Tadic cancelled out Diego Costa’s first-half opener.
Chelsea are seven points clear of Arsenal following their stalemate, and Arsene Wenger’s side are being touted as potential contenders following eight wins in their last nine league games.
However, Mourinho, who previously described the Arsenal manager as a specialist in failure, rubbished the Gunners’ growing momentum, pointing to the north London side’s 3-1 defeat by Monaco in the Champions League last month.

Mourinho’s side moved six points clear of defending champions Manchester City after Manuel Pellegrini’s side suffered a 1-0 defeat by Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday.
While the Chelsea manager was disappointed not to beat the Saints, Mourinho was content to move a step closer to the Premier League crown.
Mourinho added: “I’m not happy with the result but I’m happy with the situation, the six-point lead.”
