Gonzalo Higuain is set to sit down and discuss his Napoli future at the end of the season amid interest from Premier League, according to the striker’s agent.

The Argentina international has been regularly linked with a move to Arsenal and Liverpool over the past 12 months, despite moving to the Serie A club in 2013.

Rafael Benitez’s Napoli side are in fifth place in the Serie A table and five points behind third-placed Lazio in the race for a Champions League spot.

The 26-year-old’s representative, Jorge Higuain, hinted that the striker’s Napoli future could be contingent on a finish in the top three.

“I can’t talk much right now and it’s not the time to face this question,” Higuain’s agent told Cronache di Napoli.

“I will be in Italy in a month’s time and we will have the opportunity to discuss his position.”

Higuain has scored 13 goals and has made four assists in 27 Serie A appearances this season.

The South American opted to join Napoli ahead of interest from the Premier League in 2013.

The Napoli striker has won Coppa Italia and Italia Supercoppa since his move to Naples.
