John Terry took to social media on Monday afternoon to tell his Chelsea team-mates to keep their heads held high after Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Southampton.

The Saints came back from a goal down to earn a point against Ronald Koeman’s men at Stamford Bridge as Jose Mourinho’s side were held to a draw following their Champions League exit at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite the disappointment of the Sunday’s draw, Chelsea still hold a six-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.

And the Chelsea captain urged his team-mates to stay positive as they head into the final nine games of the Premier League season, starting with a trip to Hull next weekend.

Blues captain Terry posted the picture above on his Instagram account on Monday and wrote: “Yes we are all disappointed not to pick up 3 points yesterday, but a point moves us 6 points clear of Manchester City and 7 points clear of Arsenal with a game in hand. Let’s get ready for Hull away next week before the international break. #cfc”

Chelsea are aiming to win their second trophy of the season by lifting the Premier League title after their League Cup triumph earlier this month.
