Erik Lamela took to social media on Saturday morning to reveal what he usually eats for breakfast the day before an important Premier League game.

Lamela and his Tottenham Hotspur team-mates are gearing up for Sunday afternoon’s crunch top-flight clash at Manchester United as the race for Champions League qualification hots up.

And the Argentina international shared a photo of his breakfast on Saturday morning as Mauricio Pochettino’s men prepare to travel up north.

The Spurs playmaker enjoyed two slices of toast, a bowl of yoghurt and a selection of fruit, including oranges and strawberries.

Lamela shared the photo above on his Instagram account on Saturday morning and wrote: “Good morning to everyone.”

The 23-year-old midfielder has scored one goal and made five assists for Tottenham so far this season. He has started 19 of Spurs’ 28 Premier League games this term.

Lamela’s last start for the north London club came in the 2-0 defeat by Fiorentina in the Europa League last 32 in February.
