The Reds midfielder hasn’t featured for Brendan Rodgers’ side since the Brazil international was forced off with a thigh injury inside 16 minutes of the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park on 16 February.
The Brazil international returned to his former club Gremio as part of his rehabilitation from his thigh problem before the 28-year-old flew back to Liverpool to resume light training earlier this month.
And Lucas uploaded a photo of a training session at Melwood training ground on Wednesday afternoon, updating concerned Liverpool supporters on his progress ahead of the visit of the Red Devils this weekend.
Lucas posted the above snap and wrote on his Instagram page: “De volta aos treinos !!!! Back full training !!”
Lucas was a key part of Liverpool’s upturn in fortunes after Brendan Rodgers restored the midfielder to his side for their 3-0 defeat by Manchester United.
Although the Reds lost at Old Trafford, Lucas helped Liverpool put together an eight-game run before he suffered his thigh problem in a goalless draw with Everton.
