After seeing their hopes of winning a trophy this season ended by Arsenal on Monday night, you can’t blame Daley Blind and his Manchester United team-mates from seeking a distraction away from the pitch.

And that is exactly what a bunch of Louis van Gaal’s side opted to do on Wednesday as they attended Cheltenham Festival.

Blind was joined by the likes of Michael Carrick, Jonny Evans, Ashley Young, Phil Jones and Rafael da Silva as they enjoyed the yearly horse racing event.

Blind shared the photo above on his Instagram account and wrote: “Had a great day with these guys! #Cheltenham”

All but Rafael featured on Monday night as United were beaten 2-1 by Arsenal at Old Trafford in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

The competition was United’s last realistic hope of a trophy, with the Red Devils currently 10 points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea with 10 games to go this season.

United host Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
