Jose Mourinho gave his Chelsea squad a couple of days off after a 1-1 draw with Southampton, and Gary Cahill was roped into entertaining his kids on Tuesday afternoon.

The Blues defender hasn’t had too much to smile about after a mixed season so far alongside his captain John Terry, vying with rising Chelsea star Kurt Zouma for a starting spot.

So England international Cahill had no problems in his adopted role as the sad clown for a play session with his children, posing with a stony-faced tiger balloon.

Cahill posted the above photo and wrote: “Enjoying a day off. Having a bit of playtime with my kids!!”

Chelsea drew 1-1 with Southampton at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday after Dusan Tadic cancelled out Diego Costa’s first-half opener in west London.
