Mesut Ozil looked in particularly good spirits as Arsenal trained ahead of their crunch Champions League clash with Monaco.

The Gunners were put through their paces at their London Colney training base as Arsene Wenger’s men prepare for the second leg of their last-16 clash at Stade Louis II.

Arsenal head to the principality needing to overturn a 3-1 first-leg deficit after last month’s surprise defeat at Emirates Stadium.

And the north London side trained on a grey and gloomy Monday morning, after having beaten West Ham United 3-0 in the Premier League on Saturday.

Alexis Sanchez was also pictured enjoying himself during the training session, while captain Mikel Arteta was also involved following his lengthy lay-off due to injury.

Arsenal legend Robert Pires was also involved in the training session, while defender Gabriel Paulista was also involved.

Here are some of the best pictures from Monday morning’s Arsenal training session at London Colney.
