Not content with a superb playing career, former Ireland centre Brian O’Driscoll has shown in Hong Kong that he still has a bag of tricks after his retirement.

The 36-year-old, who retired last summer after winning the 2014 Six Nations with Ireland and PRO12 with Leinster, was taking part in an HSBC festival of rugby ahead of the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens.

And the lucky children from the International School in attendance got a close up view of the silky skills of two rugby stars, with former Fiji Sevens star Waisale Serevi also on coaching duties.

Operating in a five-metre channel, O’Driscoll releases the ball behind his body and kicks it over Serevi’s head with his heal before catching it and leaving the Fijian for dead.

Serevi was honoured the day before by being named in a “Magnificent Seven” by the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union in the 40-year history of the Hong Kong Sevens.

Former England captain Ben Gollings and All Blacks legend Jonah Lomu were also names in the side.
