The Czech Republic international’s future has been a source of relentless speculation in recent months following Thibaut Courtois’ return to Stamford Bridge from his loan spells at Atletico Madrid.
Arsenal have been touted as a possible destination for the veteran goalkeeper should he choose to leave Chelsea at the end of the season in search of regular first-team football.
And former Chelsea goalkeeper believes that the Gunners should go all out in an attempt to lure Cech to Emirates Stadium this summer.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Cudicini said: “Arsenal have had a few problems with goalkeepers after [David] Seaman and [Jens] Lehmann. [Wojciech] Szczesny is still struggling to impose himself as number one, so if a goalkeeper like Petr Cech is available in the summer, obviously he should be a big target for Arsenal.”
Despite Courtois’ emergence as Chelsea’s number one goalkeeper this season, Cech has still made eight appearances for the Blues this term, including five in the Premier League.
Chelsea return to top-flight action when they host Stoke City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues are currently six points clear at the top of the table.
