The former Germany international believes that the likes of Kevin Trapp and Ralf Fahrmann would make ideal recruits for the north London side.
Much has been made of the Gunners’ apparent lack of quality between the posts, with both David Ospina and Wojciech Szczesny receiving their share of criticism this season.
And former Liverpool midfielder Hamann believes that Wenger need look no further than Germany for the ideal men to step up in goal for the north London club.
Hamann told TV2: “There is a good goalkeeper at Cologne, Timo Horn.
“Kevin Trapp at Eintracht Frankfurt is perhaps the first one I would go for, while Ralf Fahrmann at Schalke 04 is also very good.
“They would also not cost that much either. If you need a goalkeeper, Germany is not the worst place to look.”
Arsenal need just one point from their remaining two games to secure a top-three finish in the Premier League.
The Gunners scored a late equaliser to earn a 1-1 draw at Manchester United on Sunday to stay third in the Premier League table.
Wenger’s men host Sunderland at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.
