Jack Wilshere has warned Manchester United that Arsenal will head to Old Trafford full of confidence ahead of Sunday’s Premier League showdown.

Arsenal were 2-1 winners at Old Trafford back in March as they booked their place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup thanks to goals from Nacho Monreal and Danny Welbeck.

Wilshere has missed a large portion of the season due to the ankle injury he suffered during the 2-1 loss to the Red Devils at Emirates Stadium back in November.

However, with the England international now back available again, the midfielder is confident that Arsene Wenger’s men are capable of securing another win against the Red Devils at their home ground.

Wilshere told Arsenal’s website: “The past few years we have been there we have struggled and we can’t hide from that. In the last four or five years we haven’t won there. Winning there in the FA Cup was a big confidence boost for us.

“When we go there on Sunday we know what it will take, we know we can beat them and maybe they might be thinking about that game as well. Hopefully we can repeat that performance.”

Arsenal head to Old Trafford looking to return to winning ways after their surprise 1-0 defeat by Swansea City at Emirates Stadium on Monday night.

The north London side are currently third in the table heading into their final three Premier League games of the season.
