The Reds captain made his final appearance at Anfield on Saturday evening as Liverpool suffered a surprise 3-1 defeat by Crystal Palace.
Gerrard is expected to face Stoke City at The Britannia in his last game for his boyhood club in the Premier League next weekend.
Like many other big football names, though, Fabregas opted to pay tribute to Gerrard following his emotional Anfield swansong.
Fabregas wrote: “Going to miss playing against you @stevengerrard goodluck on your new adventure. #respect”
The Spain international has faced Gerrard as a young Gunner, Arsenal captain and Chelsea midfielder during his Premier League career.
Unlike Gerrard, the World Cup winner opted against being a one-club man after he joined Barcelona from Arsenal in 2011.
However, Fabregas sealed a return to the Premier League last summer after he joined Chelsea in a controversial £27m deal.
The 28-year-old midfielder won his first Premier League winner’s medal this season.
