Ander Herrera has joined the Throwback Thursday craze by posting a photo from his schoolboy days with Barcelona legend Ronaldinho.

The 25-year-old started his football career with Real Zaragoza, progressing through the ranks before making his La Liga debut in August 2009.

Herrera joined 13-time Premier League champions Manchester United last summer after three impressive seasons at Basque outfit Athletic Bilbao.

And the United midfielder uploaded a snap from his younger days at Zaragoza when Herrera and some of his team-mates met Brazil and Barcelona icon Ronaldinho.

Herrera posted the above photo and wrote: “Do you recognise me? With one of the greatest in football history @10Ronalidihno #TBT #throwbackthursday”

Herrera has scored five goals and has made four assists in 23 Premier League appearances for the 20-time English champions this term.

The Spain Under-21 international has racked up 1,509 minutes of top-flight action for Louis van Gaal’s side over the course of the season.
