Diego Costa admits that he would love to see Chelsea sign Arda Turan from Atletico Madrid this summer as the midfielder continues to be linked with a transfer to the Premier League.
Turan has been touted as a possible target for Manchester United in recent weeks as Louis van Gaal aims to bolster his squad, with Chelsea also named as a possible destination for the Turkey international.
Costa played alongside Turan during his time at Atletico before his summer switch to the west London club last summer.
And the Brazilian born forward says that he would be keen to see Turan secure a move to Stamford Bridge during the summer transfer window.
Costa told Spanish newspaper AS: “It would be fantastic; things are easier with Arda in the team.
“Arda, Filipe [Luis] and I work well together and also Arda is a great person.
“He invited us to his house several times, especially for kebabs and I really liked them.
“The whole team went to dinner at his house.”
Earlier on Friday, Turan took to social media to insist that reports claiming he had agreed a transfer to Barcelona were completely false.
Turan has scored 13 goals in 127 La Liga appearances during a four-year career at Vicente Calderon.
