The pair looked relaxed after speaking to MUTV as Louis van Gaal’s squad continue their preparations for the forthcoming Premier League season.
Mata shared the picture of the duo above on his personal Instagram account and wrote:
The 27-year-old Mata, who joined the Red Devils from Chelsea in January 2014, scored nine goals and made four assists as United finished fourth in the Premier League during Van Gaal’s first season in charge at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Herrera, who moved to Old Trafford from Athletic Bilbao last summer, scored six goals and made four assists in 26 Premier League outings for Van Gaal’s men last season.
Manchester United kick off their Premier League campaign with a home clash against Tottenham Hotspur on the opening weekend of the new season.
