Alexis Sanchez has poured cold water on the recent speculation linking the Chile international with a transfer away from Arsenal.

Real Madrid have been reported to be weighing up a transfer swoop for the 26-year-old forward in recent days.

However, the player himself has now moved to quash talk of a transfer away from the north London club.

Sanchez told a news conference on Wednesday while on international duty with Chile: “I’m very happy at Arsenal, I don’t think about leaving.

“I always want to be the best at everything I do. I’m never happy with what I do, I always want to give more.”

Sanchez has been one of Arsenal’s standout performers since arriving at the club from Barcelona in a big-money deal last summer.

The attacker has already scored five Premier League goals for Arsene Wenger’s men this season and netted twice as the Gunners ran out 3-0 winners over Manchester United in their most recent outing earlier this month.

Sanchez will be expecting to feature when Arsenal return to action with a trip to Watford on Saturday evening in the Premier League.
