The Gunners reverted to a counter-attacking approach at The Emirates in the Champions League on Tuesday night and Arsene Wenger’s tactics paid dividends against Bayern Munich.
Goals from substitute Olivier Giroud and club-record signing Mesut Ozil secured a 2-0 victory over the Bundesliga champions to kick-start their Champions League campaign.
While Keane believes Arsenal would be wise to replicate their tactics on Tuesday night in more games, the Manchester United captain pointed out Arsenal’s continued weak spots.
“They’re set up perfectly for the counter-attack,” Keane told ITV Sport.
“They’ve got the quality, they’ve got the pace. But where they struggle is in certain games, they can’t lift it. Or, if teams are really direct against them or physical with them. That’s where they’re weak.”
Arsenal are still bottom of Group F after losing their opening two Champions League group-stage games to Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiacos.
The Gunners are in second place in the Premier League table and two points behind leaders Manchester City ahead of the visit of Everton at Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening.
Arsene Wenger’s side have earned 19 points from a possible 27 so far this term.
