Ander Herrera has welcomed Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea to the Adidas family.

The Red Devils shot stopper has seemingly penned a lucarative sponsorship deal with the German sportswear company which already works with a host of United stars, including Herrera and Juan Mata.

De Gea was unable to prevent United conceding in Moscow in mid-week after a 1-1 draw with CSKA in their third Champions League group-stage game.

However, the 24-year-old will hope to be the difference for the Red Devils with a new Adidas deal in his back pocket when Manchester City head to Old Trafford for the first Manchester derby of the season.

De Gea was heavily linked with a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the summer transfer window before his proposed transfer fell through on transfer deadline day in Spain.

The United shot stopper has since signed a new long-term contract with the 20-time English champions, taking over from understudy Sergio Romero in goal after missing the first four games of the season.
