Mesut Ozil has reflected on a memorable week for Arsenal after the Gunners moved to the top of the Premier League thanks to a 2-1 win against Everton.

The Germany international teed up Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud for the opener in the first half before Lauren Koscielny added a second.

Ross Barkley’s deflected goal ensured a nervy second half for the hosts at The Emirates but Arsenal held on to hoist themselves above Manchester City into top spot.

And Ozil was pleased with a positive week for the north London side after backing up their famous 2-0 win against Bayern Munich with victory over the Toffees.

Ozil scored a goal and made an assist in Arsenal’s victories over Bayern and Everton.

The 27-year-old midfielder has scored two goals and made five assists in his last six games for the FA Cup holders in all competitions.
