Lucas Levia has shown his sympathy for Danny Ings and Joe Gomez after the Liverpool pair suffered injury blows during the international break.

Gomez, who moved to Liverpool from Charlton Athletic in the summer transfer window, ruptured his cruciate ligament injury representing England’s Under-21 side.

The Reds suffered a further blow after Ings was ruled out for the rest of the season after the summer signing picked up a serious knee injury in his first training under new manager Jurgen Klopp.

Brazil international Lucas, who could line up against Tottenham hotspur at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon, sent a message to Ings and Gomez.

Lucas wrote on his Instagram page: “It is been a hard days for these two. I have been trough this and I know how you feel but I am sure you guys will be back stronger .
You have all the years ahead of you. Keep strong my friend @joegomez5 and @ingstagram10. YNWA”

England Under-21 international Gomez started Liverpool’s first four games of the season under Klopp’s predecessor Brendan Rodgers.

Ings, meanwhile, scored in the Northern Irishman’s final game in charge as Everton drew 1-1 with Liverpool in the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.
