Ryan Mason has spoken of his delight to make a return to first-team affairs at Tottenham Hotspur after his recent injury setback.

Mason hasn’t featured for the north London side since the 24-year-old midfielder scored the winner in a 1-0 victory over Sunderland at Stadium of Light before succumbing to injury.

However, the Spurs youth graduate has successfully recovered from knee problem and the England international travelled with Spurs for their Europa League clash in Belgium on Thursday night.

Although Mason did not feature in Mauricio Pochettino’s side for the 2-1 defeat by Anderlecht, the 24-year-old was delighted to be nearing a return to competitive action.

Mason wrote on photo-sharing app Instagram: “Nice to travel & be back with the team! 👌”
