And the 27-year-old playmaker used his personal Instagram account to reflect on the victory on Wednesday afternoon.
Ozil posted the picture above of himself celebrating his goal at Emirates Stadium on the photo-sharing app and wrote: “Screaming is bad for your voice, but sometimes it’s good for the heart! #Arsenal #UCL #bethedifference”
Arsenal now turn their attentions back to the Premier League and preparing for Saturday evening’s clash with Everton at Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners can move top of the Premier League table with victory over the Toffees, before Manchester City travel to Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
Arsenal are currently two points behind Manuel Pellegrini’s league leaders.
