Piers Morgan has launched a fresh Twitter attack on Arsene Wenger after the Arsenal manager was named on Fifa’s shortlist for coach of the year.

The 65-year-old long-serving Gunners boss was part of Fifa’s 10-man list alongside the likes of Champions League-winning coach Luis Enrique, Premier League champion Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola.

Wenger led the north London side to FA Cup glory last term after the Gunners successfully defended their crown thanks to a 4-0 win against Aston Villa in the final.

Arsenal also finished in third place behind Chelsea and Manchester City in the Premier League.

But long-suffering Arsenal supporters Morgan doesn’t believe the north London outfit’s modest achievements warrant Wenger being shortlisted for the Fifa world coach of the year.

Arsenal climbed up to second place in the Premier League table after a 3-0 win against Watford on Saturday evening.
