Mauricio Pochettino says Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Ryan Mason is available to face Anderlecht in the Europa League on Thursday night.

The 24-year-old has been sidelined for the north London since he was replaced after having scored the winner in a 1-0 victory over Sunderland at Stadium of Light in September.

However, Pochettino revealed that Mason has recovered from a knee problem and would be named in the Spurs manager’s squad for their third Europa League game of the season.

“Mason is in the squad for tomorrow and maybe Sunday,” Pochettino told his pre-match media conference.

“Maybe he will not play many minutes but he is with us. Nabil Bentaleb is not in the squad but he is close, and so is Sonny and Tom Carroll. Pritchard is different.”

But Spurs boss Pochettino confirmed Belgium international Nacer Chadli is set to endure a six-week spell on the sidelines after he picked up an ankle injury in a goalless draw with Liverpool at White Hart Lane in the Premier League last weekend.

“It is very disappointing for us and the player and we hope that it goes well and maybe in six weeks Chadli will come back,” Pochettino continued.

However, the Argentinian head coach revealed Clinton N’Jie or Andros Townsend could profit from Chadli’s injury blow.

“It is always a place for another player to have an opportunity, maybe Clinton N’Jie or Andros Townsend, to break in. We have a strong squad, they are young, but they are ready to compete,” Pochettino added.
