The Gunners goalkeeper’s tally edged him ahead of former Manchester City and West Ham United goalkeeper David James, who racked up 169 clean sheets during his long career.
Former Arsenal striker Wright, who played with Gunners great David Seaman during his career, heaped praise on the summer signing following their 2-0 win.
Asked about Cech’s impressive record on Monday night, Wright told Match Of The Day: “One of the best, easily.”
Cech moved to Arsenal in a £10m deal from defending Premier League champions Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
The Czech Republic international has already kept an amazing eight clean sheets for the Gunners this season.
