Piers Morgan ran riot on Twitter on Monday night as Arsenal moved to the top of the Premier League table.

Although the Gunners were in action against Bournemouth at The Emirates, Morgan appeared to be keeping close tabs on unfolding events at Old Trafford.

When Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic failed to find the back of the target with only David De Gea to beat, Morgan was quick to slate the Serbian’s attempt.

Arsenal moved to the top of the Premier League thanks to their 2-0 victory over Bournemouth and extended their lead over United to 10 points after the goalless draw at Old Trafford.

Morgan was impressed with the home side’s performance despite an energetic display from the Red Devil players amid ongoing speculation surrounding Louis van Gaal’s position.

And Morgan was unhappy at the praise being directed United’s way after the 20-time English champions brought their three-game losing run to an end.
