Aaron Ramsey has taken to social media to congratulate Mohamed Elneny on making his Arsenal debut in Saturday’s 2-1 FA Cup win over Burnley at Emirates Stadium.

The Egypt international, who joined the north London side from FC Basel earlier this month, played the full 90 minutes as he impressed in front of the club’s home fans.

Midfielder Ramsey was rested for the fourth-round cup win as Arsene Wenger’s side now turn their attentions to their Premier League clash with Southampton at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

He will be expecting to feature as Arsenal look to return to winning ways after their 1-0 loss to Chelsea last weekend.

And the Wales international used his personal Twitter account to send a message of congratulations to Elneny following his solid display against the Clarets.

Ramsey tweeted on Saturday evening:
