Alexis Sanchez appeared to be in a chirpy mood on Wednesday morning as the Arsenal forward closes in on a return to action from injury.

The Chile international has been out of action for the Gunners since suffering a hamstring problem during the 1-1 draw at Norwich City back at the end of November but is now close to a return.

Indeed, Sanchez is reported to be in line to make his first Arsenal appearance of the year when the north London side host Sunderland in the third round of the FA Cup this weekend.

And Sanchez’s latest post on social media appears to indicate that he is in a positive mood.

Sanchez shared the photo above on his personal Instagram account on Wednesday and wrote: “🎄👌😉 good morning.”
